"Explore Mars"
Discover the temporary exhibition "EXPLORE MARS" at the JURASSICA Museum from 30 November 2024 to 1 June 2025.
The ‘Explore Mars’ exhibition, designed by the Cité de l'espace in Toulouse and enhanced by JURASSICA, invites you to explore Mars. Take an immersive, interactive tour and discover the special aspects of Mars and meet the rovers that are currently exploring the Red Planet.
What does Earth really have in common with Mars? Has the Red Planet ever been host to any life forms? How does a rover work? These are just some of the questions the exhibition will be answering in a scientific and entertaining way, with interactive activities to help you discover the particularities of this planet.
Compare Mars and Earth: different atmospheres... different sensations! Examine the differences in the weight of the Sojourner rover on Mars and on Earth. Go back in time and compare the evolution of Mars with those of the Moon and Earth. Very different fortunes...
The adventure continues with Curiosity, Sojourner, Mars Express and even Opportunity, the mock-ups of the robots that are currently exploring Mars in search of life. These full-sized rovers, designed to operate in extreme conditions, help us to understand the Martian atmosphere and the changes that have taken place on the planet. Their special aspects, missions and functions are explained.
The exhibition is presented in French, German, Italian, English and Spanish.
Exhibition open Tuesday to Sunday, 2pm to 5pm. Click here for prices.
