The Jurassica Museum and the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Florence (Italy) will organize a Paleontological Field School in Chevenez (Canton Jura, Switzerland) from 23rd August to 3rd September 2021. The Field School offers students a first-hand experience in paleontological field techniques in real conditions. The collected material will join the collections of the JURASSICA Museum and be used for ongoing research projects.

Up to 15 students from different nationalities will be selected to take part into the Field School. Applicants following a geological or biological curriculum and expressing a strong interest in paleontology will be given priority. Volunteers will be housed near Porrentruy (Canton of Jura, Switzerland) during the fieldwork.
