The JURASSICA Museum, in collaboration with its partner Institute of the Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, is organising a paleontological field school at Miocene sites. This research-focused opportunity is specifically designed for Geo- and Paleoscience students to collaborate with researchers and contribute to fieldwork. Students will actively participate in ongoing research at selected outcrops.
The field trip is scheduled for 10 days between October 11 and 26, 2025, based on student availability and research group formation. Precise dates will be communicated after the selection of candidates.
The Field School offers students firsthand experience in paleontological field techniques in real conditions. The collected material will be used for ongoing research projects. A small teams of students under supervision of the researchers from the JURASSICA Museum will provide multidisciplanary geo- / palaeontological studies on selected outcrops.
Details on the field school, organisation and application preparation can be found in the enclosed PDF.
Applications must be submitted online before June 30 2025 in this form.
