Jurassica Museum

Botany

The JURASSICA Botanical garden has the following missions:

  • To manage and enrich the collections of living plants and to promote their conversation on its site
  • To transfer the horticultural, botanical and scientific knowledge
  • To explore and protect the plant biodiversity
  • To collaborate and contribute to conservation and research projects in Botany and in plant science

Moreover the JURASSICA Museum hosts a significant herbarium. Currently the Museum places many efforts to restore, to register and to digitalize herbarium sheets with the aim to share these data that could be further used by the scientists and the public.
