JURASSICA is a natural history museum, a botanical garden, field discovery satellites, and a team of passionate scientists working to preserve and study the region's natural heritage, as well as to train future generations of professionals through internships and dedicated courses.
JURASSICA's scientists specialize in geosciences and paleontology, thanks to an academic unit linked by an agreement with the University of Fribourg, and in botany and plant species preservation, thanks to its botanical garden. Our expertise and facilities enable us to offer a number of scientific services to other natural history institutions in Switzerland and abroad.
Every year, JURASSICA hosts students at various stages of their studies (pre-HE, HE, Bachelor's, Master's), offering them their first professional experience in the form of academic internships. JURASSICA scientists also regularly offer topics for Bachelor's and Master's thesis.
